Gift Certificate, how it works...
At the studio Retratos por Marcelo Valente we specialize in creating Family Portraits creating beautiful memories for families in São Paulo.
We do everything to deliver the best result for you. To achieve this it is important that you understand how our studio works...
Your Gift Card is for a Family Portrait Session. "Family" are parents and/or grandparents with children of any age. Many clients take this opportunity to make Multi-Generation Portraits including up to 4 generations in their portraits. We also accommodate those couples whose children no longer live at home, are already grandparents, and want to strengthen their unity and create a legacy for future generations. We also understand that some families are only led by a single Mom or Dad and these families are also very welcome in our Studio.
Children - If you would like to create Portraits of your children individually or together, we are more than happy to create these portraits at no additional cost, as long as the whole family is present at the Portrait Session.
Incomplete Families - We do not create "incomplete family" portraits where a family member cannot attend the Portrait Session due to work, travel or some other reason. We prefer to reschedule the Session for another day when everyone will be together again.
Pets: Although we love these important members of their family, unfortunately we don't photograph pets.
Gift Cards are only valid if used by their named holders, cannot be transferred, cannot be converted to cash, cannot be used for frames, and cannot be used to pay outstanding amounts from the bearer or other customer. The gift certificate is valid for 3 months after receipt. The gift certificate is only valid for one session per family every 12 months. Gift cards cannot be used for Photo Frames either.
In order to be fair to all our clients and because we dedicate three hours of our studio to each family, a valid credit card (AMEX, MasterCard, Visa) is required to book the Portrait Session. We request a deposit refundable in the amount of R$ 250.00 which will be 100% refunded on the day of your session. We accept day and time changes for the portrait session as long as it is communicated with 15 days or more in advance and that the session takes place within the 3 month validity of the gift certificate. This deposit will only be kept by the studio if there is " no show", cancellations within 15 days or considerable delays that make the session impossible.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance and on time. Delays longer than 15 minutes may result in your session being canceled and your refundable deposit withheld, and a new deposit will be required to reschedule.
Gift Cards are not valid after the expiration date. - Your Portrait Session by Marcelo Valente must take place before the expiration date, however extensions may be granted at the studio's discretion. We recommend that you contact us within 15 days of receiving your gift certificate to ensure we have more choice of days and times.
We require 2 adults (usually parents) to be present at the Portrait Commissioning Session. This will save your time and make decisions easier by allowing us to keep schedules for other customers. The Session cannot take place without the presence of 2 adults (with the exception of families with a responsible parent only).
In order for us to improve our customer service, calls and sessions may be recorded for the purpose of quality control and training.
Larger Portraits, Masterpiece Finishing and Frames - You are under no obligation to invest more than your Gift Certificate value. Naturally, we want you to make the most of your time with us and we offer tips on how to get the best end result, even on a limited budget. We offer payment in installments and accept all credit cards.

The order for your custom portrait, including any artistic intervention by our artist, will start on the day the order is placed. This ensures that we can deliver the portrait to you before the promised date. Orders cannot be canceled or changed once approved.
If for some reason you are unfortunately not happy with your finished portrait, we allow 1 review by our artist, limited to variations of the annotations on artistic adjustments described in your signed order.
