Clothing

Weddings, debutante parties, graduation parties, dinner in a very elegant restaurant, are some moments where we usually dress more formally.  At each of these events, we aim to present ourselves in the best way to celebrate with our friends and family.

Your family portrait is a celebration!

In our studio, our lighting, colors and structure of the portraits are designed to produce a work of art that is timeless.  This is likely to be the most elegant and important portrait you will ever make.  Capture a timeless look and the joy and love of your  family  is what we want.

Over time, clothing styles change, and your attire can take the attention off your expression and family, and these are the most important aspects of a portrait.   For the best results, we suggest classic and formal outfits to ensure your portrait stands the test of time.

For a better look, darker, more solid clothes blend into the background emphasizing skin tones and directing the eyes first to the face and eyes.

Ask yourself if your choice will look elegant and trendy  20 years from now.

Women - Elegant party dresses are preferred. Dark colors like black, navy blue, dark green. Sleeveless dresses make the arms look bigger and take the attention off the face.  A shawl is recommended to complement the dress. Classic jewelry (diamonds, pearls) are recommended. Avoid tight, short dresses or dresses that leave a lot of exposed skin.

Men - Dark colored suit (black, navy blue), tuxedo, white shirt and tie, shaved or well-shaped beard. Nice sweaters, dark blazers and dark trousers also fit well, although we recommend a nice suit.

Young Girls - Dresses in dark tones or jewel tones (ruby red, sapphire blue, emerald green). For girls under the age of 6, cream and ivory colors are acceptable. Girls dresses are usually short and sleeveless.

Young Boys - Same as men, or knits, sweaters, dark colors, no prints or patterns. If under 5, white shirt with bow tie is appropriate.

To give a better sense of union we recommend that the colors of the family's clothes are coordinated, using the same color.

Ballet clothing, riding, musical instruments are recommended to add value to the portrait. If you would like to capture other  hobbies  contact us to see how we can transform them into an elegant portrait for your wishes.

Note: If you really want a more casual portrait, follow the following guidelines for a successful image: It will still be necessary to use a dark outfit, without print or patterns, with little information, coordinating the colors of the clothes. Thinking that this style is timeless, many, many years from now. It can't be something that's in fashion, it can't be dated. Remember, it's your eyes and face that should draw attention in the portrait, not your outfit. To really be safe, black shirts and jeans for everyone does a great job.
